Situated inside the lovely Snowdonia National park, Beddgelert offers a stunning forest location within sight and reach of Mount Snowdon.

While the forest itself offers a setting of lush tranquility, the surrounding area is one of Wales’ most rugged and dramatic places. Mount Snowdon towers overhead, demanding to be climbed, while all around you are hills and dales to ramble over and rivers that are ideal for canoeing, which is offered on site. You’ll also find a diverse range of flora and trees here, which the Rangers will be happy to help you discover. When you want a really natural location, yet one that is full of contrasts, you want to be at Beddgelert.

A UK Escapes break is all about returning to nature, so you won't find electricity or a fridge in our UK tents. To make your stay comfortable though, a cool box (ice packs available on-site) and lanterns with rechargable batteries are provided.

If you don’t want to walk up the mountain, the Snowdon Mountain Railway which runs from nearby Llanberis will take you all the way to Hafod Eyri, the new visitor centre at the peak. And if architecture is more your style, the eclectic Portmeirion Village offers something for every taste.
