Based on a customer satisfaction survey

Situated on a hillside with superb views across the bay, this large, lively parc is ideal for families with teenagers.

Castell Montgri is a complete holiday village that has been developed to blend in with the natural surroundings. The swimming pools have their own bar and sun-terrace. Areas of the parc are up a steep hill and some of our pitches are grassy and at the top of the parc, whilst others are nearer to the main facilities. A popular choice for families with teenagers as there are daily activities and evening entertainment organised by the parc staff. The parc also runs a free bus service in high season to the lively resort and gently shelving sandy beach at Estartit, one mile away.

Out and about

There are many lovely coves and beaches along the Costa Brava coast, with clear, warm sea ideal for snorkelling or scuba diving. Visit the ancient hilltop village of Pals and enjoy the views, or take a boat trip to the four small Medas islands, the largest of which was once the haunt of pirates and 15th century monks. Europe's biggest water park, Lloret de Mar, is close by as is Marine World. Both offer fun days out playing on the waterslides or getting splashed by the dolphins!

      Customer Suggestions

Take a look at some of the local recommendations for days out and activities our customers have shared with us following their holiday at Castell Montgri.

"Barcelona was amazing. We also went to Aqua Brava waterpark which was excellent and cheaper than Aquadiver. Jocs food and facilities were good and snorkelling with Keycamp was fabulous."
      A. Savage, Kent

"Barcelona is a must - the Panoramica tour from this parc is the best as it takes you to the most famous sights while also allowing you a few hours to enjoy the city. The free bus from the parc to the beach was a major bonus, particularly when it was really hot."
      M. Luetchford, Suffolk

"Barcelona was worth the drive but to do it justice would require more than one day. The Sigean Nature Reserve was well worth the drive - a fantastic place. We also walked to the top of Mont Estartit, the view was spectacular! Would advise you wear good shoes though, it was difficult in flip flops! Would also take plenty of water and a snack for when you reach the top. Carcassonne over the border in France is lovely."
      D. Talbott, Berkshire

"We had a good day at the Aquadiver waterpark in Platja d'Aro. Two lovely beaches were L'Escala and Sant Antoni. Would highly recommend the snorkel trip, this was excellent although a little choppy on the boat. The cove was a wonderful experience."
      D. Washbourne, West Midlands

"L'Estartit town itself is gorgeous. Mont Pla restaurant and cocktail bar run by Carlos and his family, located outside the campsite with crazy golf and tennis was a great place to go on an evening. Girona is gorgeous and accessible by the local bus service, as is Torroella. Barcelona is a little over 2 hours away and you can visit via an organised trip from the parc, it's well worth it. A huge hit with my family was the Aquadiver waterpark - a fantastic day out."
      E. Higgins, Dublin

"Girona was our favourite place to visit. The snorkel trip we went on, organised through Keycamp, was excellent."
      M. McDonnell, Co. Down

"Waterworld at Lloret de Mar was very good, book tickets before travelling as you can get them cheaper. O'Malleys bar in Estartit was good for food."
      B. Conlan, Co. Kildare

"L'Escala is worth a visit, and we also enjoyed the Empuries Ruins nearby."
      V. Mathieson, Lanarkshire

"We went to the Dali museum - definitely worth seeing."
      C. Mannion, Dublin
