Set on an unspoilt stretch of coastline close to the beach and ideal for those looking for an entertaining and lively family holiday.

A path from Le Littoral leads you directly down to the rocky cove and pebbly beach where children love to search for shellfish. The nearest sandy beach with gently sloping sands is just a mile away. In high season you can take the free bus service which runs all day long between the parc, the beach and the famous resort of Les Sables d’Olonne. Plenty to amuse the whole family with a recently extended outdoor and covered pool. The popular bar and restaurant have plans to be extended in 2011 and are the centre of daily entertainment in high season.

Only conventional swimwear, such as swimming trunks are allowed in the pool.

The parc provides a free coach service in high season that will take you and the family to a variety of local places including the beaches. Les Sables d’Olonne, a famous west coast resort is only 10 minutes drive away. It boasts a fantastic Zoo that the children will love.

Zoo des Sables D'Olonne

Only a short distance from the enormous Atlantic beaches, the zoo at Les Sables d'olonne is the home to hundreds of animals living in a luxurious setting. Animals include Penguins, Monkeys, Otters, Lions, Tigers and Pandas.

Château de Talmont St Hilaire

Located on a rock, surrounded by water, the fortress of Talmont played an important part in the defense of Poitou against the invading Normans. Years later, several kings of France were made welcome along with Richard the Lion Heart during the crusade years. Nowadays you can attend medieval demonstrations during the festival period.

Oceanile

This waterpark in the heart of Noirmoutier is over 37000m and has more than 20 aquatic amusements. With slides and waves there is plenty to ensure that the whole family is entertained.

Sealand Aquarium de Noirmoutier

A good aquarium with an excellent selection of fish from around the world including warm and cold water fish plus a number of tropical aquariums

Aquarium La Rochelle

Le Grand Parc du Puy du Fou

A reconstruction of an 18th century village with villagers in costume. The ruins of a 13th century chateau where you can watch a fabulous falconry display or see the vikings at war. You can spend hours wandering the grounds and gardens. The evening show is an incredible open-air night show with 850 people and 50 horsemen.

Le Vélo Rail

This journey through the countryside is on a 'vélo rail' which runs on old train lines. 10 kilometres of track can be explored for up to 4 hours.
