Nestling in a woodland glade with a pool complex and close to safe, sandy beaches.

Located just over a mile from the beach of Les Mouettes, La Yole is one of our most popular parcs. With large grassy play areas, the peaceful setting and family atmosphere are perfect for families with younger children. There is a restaurant, offering a varied menu, and pleasant bar overlooking the swimming pools. Evening entertainment, held at the bar can get quite lively during high season and may be heard from some parts of the parc.

Out and about

Visit the popular Atlantic Toboggan Waterpark at Merlin Plage with a variety of swimming pools, waterslides and picnic areas. The Motor Museum at Talmont St-Hilaire is another favourite with over a hundred vehicles on display. Les Sables d’Olonne has some excellent seafront restaurants and a popular zoo with free-roaming monkeys.

A good aquarium with an excellent selection of fish from around the world including warm and cold water fish plus a number of tropical aquariums

Le Grand Parc Puy du Fou

A reconstruction of an 18th century village with villagers in costume. The ruins of a 13th century chateau where you can watch a fabulous falconry display or see the Vikings at war. You can spend hours wandering the grounds and gardens. The evening show is an incredible open-air night show with 850 people and 50 horsemen.

Zoo des Sables d'Olonne

Only a short distance from the enormous Atlantic beaches, the zoo at Les Sables d'Olonne is the home to hundreds of animals living in a luxurious setting. Animals include penguins, monkeys, otters, lions, tigers and pandas.

Château de Talmont St Hilaire

Located on a rock, surrounded by water, the fortress of Talmont played an important part in the defence of Poitou against the invading Normans. Years later, several kings of France were made welcome along with Richard the Lion Heart during the crusade years. Nowadays you can attend medieval demonstrations during the festival period.
