Le Sougey is a spacious parc set on the western shore of Lac d’Aiguebelette. Walkers and cyclists will enjoy exploring the mountains surrounding the parc. On-parc activity centres around the lake, with its clear turquoise coloured water. Here you can hire pedalos or canoes and relax on the lakeside beach. The evenings are very peaceful, and the converted barn houses the popular alpine-style restaurant and bar offering some wonderful views. Novalaise is the nearest town, 5km away.

Visit the city of Chambéry, the ancient seat of the Dukes of Savoy with its imposing buildings, narrow alleyways and grand château fifteen miles away. A visit to Lake Annecy is a must. Annecy is reputed to be the prettiest town in France, one hour’s drive away, where you can enjoy a boat trip on the lake or explore the picturesque canals criss-crossed with bridges. Not far away is Aix-Les-Bains, an elegant Victorian spa town, named after the thermal baths that overlook it.
