Attractions

The resort: Branville is a coastal hamlet, in the heart of the Pays d’Auge around the Cider trail. Visit the 18th century Church and its attractive little bell tower. The surrounding area: Villers-sur-Mer (8 km) with its market and lively pedestrianised streets, beach with children’s clubs (in season), the Vaches Noires cliffs full of fossils (listed and preserved site), the marsh (nature reserve, lake and bird island). Houlgate (12 km): famous for its beach, Belle Epoque villas and lively centre. Dives-sur-Mer (19 km) an attractive and well-preserved old town with authentic charm. See the 14th century covered market and church, William the Conqueror’s village and its craftsmen, antique dealers and the famous Hostellerie, a former coach inn. Cabourg (14 km) with all the charm of the traditional Belle Epoque seaside resorts, its fine sand beach, casino and famous Marcel Proust promenade.
