    Customer Suggestions

Take a look at some of the local recommendations for days out and activities our customers have shared with us following their holiday at La Côte de Nacre.

"The area is attractive besides being known for the D-Day landings and has a lot to offer young children. Local restaurants serve good quality food and the nearby zoo was excellent."
    B. Weeks, West Yorkshire

"We visited the Bayeux Tapestry which was excellent, the children were provided with their own headsets so they could understand the story. We also visited Arromanches with the 360° cinema which showed moving accounts of WWII."
    L. Collier, Buckinghamshire

"The whole coastal area, villages and seafront are immaculately maintained and very pretty. Mont St Michel is always worth a visit - and note the food prices are slightly cheaper the further up the main street you go! We went on to St Malo and took advantage of the Navette (free park and ride). There are stunning views over the sea from the ramparts at St Malo. The free visit to Les Vergers de Ducy was entertaining and informative, with tasting afterwards and options to buy. Caen has some wonderful historical buildings and found free street parking on a Sunday visit. There's a good tourist office very close to the château."
    A. Crane, Cheshire

"We enjoyed visiting the whale skeleton and park at St Luc-sur-Mer as well as the Pont de Normandie bridge."
    B. Archibald, Lanarkshire

"The town of Bayeux is an historical jewel - the tapestry is aww-inspiring! Omaha Beach is a humbling experience, as well as a lovely clean beach on which to play with the kids."
    P. Raw, West Yorkshire

"We visited Bayeux and some of the D-Day beaches."
    C. Anderson, Essex

"Lisieux cathedral and the beautiful village of Beuvron-en-Auge are definitely worth a visit."
    P. Waters, North Yorkshire

"We visited the D-Day landing beaches and saw a lot of St Aubin itself. We would recommend the 6 Juin restaurant in Arromanches - had some really tasty food there!"
    S. Rudman, Shropshire
