    Cap d’Agde is a perfect resort for those who like to get out and about to explore the local surroundings. Agde is one of France’s oldest towns and boasts 14km of beautiful fine sandy beaches, with scattered basalt cliffs and small rocky islands. Cap d’Agde is an ideal starting point for exploring the hinterland’s rich cultural hertiage, including its outstanding archaeological heritage where at the heart of the town is the impressive fortified Romanesque catheral built of volcanic stone. The apartments are situated 50m from the sea front and is a lively resort with its own private swimming pool. Nearby are many cycle routes which are a perfect way to explore, as well as scuba diving and hiking trails.

    The lively town of Cap d'Agde offers something for all of its visitors, including shops, bars, restaurants and a lovely harbour and is just a short drive from the residence. Also nearby is the popular Aqualand water park, perfect for a family day out. Further afield is Beziers, the main trading centre for the Languedoc wine industry.

        The resort: Cap d’Agde is located at the foot of Mount St Loup, an extinct volcano and has 4 destinations: the town of Agde, Le Grau d’Agde, Cap d’Agde and La Tamarissière. The town of Agde, one of France's oldest towns, with an outstanding archaeological heritage: the heart of the town, the fortified Romanesque cathedral built of volcanic stone, elegant town mansions, the ramparts, the Agathois Museum. Cap d’Agde: cliffs and the Richelieu Pier, the Aquarium and the Ephèbe Museum. Le Grau d’Agde, a small fishing village, at the mouth of the Hérault river. Brescou Fort built on a volcanic island, 1,500 metres from the coast: boat crossings every day, leaving from Cap d'Agde and le Grau d'Agde (mid-June to mid-September). The Midi Canal classed as a World Heritage site. The canal, which is 240 km long, links Toulouse with the sea. In the 17th century, it marked the achievement of an old and historical dream: to link the Atlantic with the Mediterranean. The surrounding area: Gourmet tourist route: “Route des Vignerons et des Pêcheurs” (the wine growers and fishermen trail). The Bagnas Nature Reserve (561 hectares) with over 200 species of bird (5 km). Places to visit: Béziers, the capital of rugby, 38 km away; Pézenas, the birthplace of Molière and Bobby Lapointe, 28 km away; Montpellier, 59 km away; the Hérault Valley and the Hérault Gorges (approximately 80 km away).
