Based on a customer satisfaction survey

Offers lively entertainment and facilities for the whole family, with an enviable position in the Les Landes forest.

Camping Sylvamar is part of the Yelloh! Village chain of parcs. The excellent facilities, located away from our accommodation, include a lagoon style waterpark complete with waterslides and lazy river, overlooked by the modern restaurant and bar terrace. It is just a fifteen minute walk or cycle to the fine sandy beaches of this area, and watersports facilities are widely available. Whilst there is plenty to do at this well maintained parc, the Les Landes forest is perfect for cyclists. Parc rules are strictly enforced for the benefit and comfort of all guests. The parc has recently built a new indoor children’s pool and spa, sauna and wellness centre, some new facilities are chargable.

Only conventional swimwear, such as swimming trunks are allowed in the pool.

    Customer suggestions

Take a look at some of the local recommendations for days out and activities our customers have shared with us following their holiday at Sylvamar.

"We enjoyed San Sebastian (trip to Spain), Biarritz and Capbreton. We also took the La Rhune train to the top of the mountain and walked back down - it was hard work but rewarding. You would need decent walking footwear and don't do it if it's wet. Not good for young children either, takes about 2 hours and would recommend sun lotion and a sun hat as you're very exposed."
    L. Woodford, Surrey

"The bar/restaurant La Cremaillere is well worth a visit for its excellent food, service, atmosphere and value. They also serve excellent food at La Bodega but it's slightly more expensive. Biarritz is fantastic with lovely shops, beach and scenery. 10km away at Capbreton is a canal and some good cycle paths. There's also a lovely beach, marina and town with souvenir shops and some restaurants."
    J. Ramsay, Surrey

"Biarritz is worth a visit - use parking Clemenceau then you're in the middle of the town to look round the shops and market and are then conveniently placed to go back for your beach gear and spend the afternoon on the beach! The Grand Plage was good for body boarding and some rock pooling. Bayonne is a lovely town with plenty of parking behind the town hall, and there are some really pretty narrow streets to explore. Capbreton is also a nice place for an evening stroll and ice cream. In Labenne we ate at the Bodega tapas restaurant and would recommend it, the staff are friendly and there was live music. The waterpark next door to the parc was a big hit with our teenage children who loved the rides."
    J. Bristow, Derbyshire

"The market in Hossegor is worth a visit and Capbreton is a lovely, quaint little town with some nice restaurants. Biarritz is absolutely worth a trip, with the Grand Plage an excellent location for a day's beach activities and body boarding. Nearer to Sylvamar the Atlantico restaurant offered excellent service with good food and wine at reasonable prices and our waiter was a big hit with our family! We also had a ball karting in Capbreton!"
    J. Huntley, Co. Antrim

"We went to visit an animal park, La Pinède des Singes, about a mile from the site and our young children loved it. We also used the cycle tracks and the local beach which we were very impressed with."
    P. McKeown, Co. Meath

"Biarritz is a lovely place to visit and is a nice drive there too. The beaches in the area are very good for surfing as opposed to swimming and there are lots of nice towns to visit along the coast. The Basque Mountains are worth a visit, with a trip up on the little train."
    G. Wishart, Staffordshire
