Ideally located on the edge of the Biscarrosse lake with direct access to a private, sandy lakeside beach.

La Rive is located on the shores of the Biscarrosse lake, four miles from the small town of Biscarrosse. Activites centre around the lake, lined by a sandy beach where a large variety of watersports are organised. Facilities are available for mooring customers’ own boats. The whole family will enjoy the range of facilities from playgrounds and archery to the covered pool complex with waterslides, jacuzzi, toddler pools and a fantastic new pool complex complete with wave pool, spa and large cover, to ensure the weather doesn’t spoil the fun. Enjoy a drink on the outdoor bar terrace where evening entertainment is performed during high season.

Only conventional swimwear, such as swimming trunks are allowed in the pool.

Out and about

Les Landes forest covers a vast area for long country rambles and cycle rides. The wide, open beaches at Biscarrosse-Plage with miles of golden sand are a short drive away. South of Arcachon is the highest sand dune in Europe, the Dune du Pilat, commanding superb views.

La Coccinelle

Zoo with more than 800 animals from over 50 species. There is a small farm section to allow children to touch and feed the animals. There are many other attractions such as trains and rides for the children

Zoo de Bassin d'Arcachon

One of the largest zoos in France with many different species in their natural environment. The zoo has the largest bear enclosure in Europe. There is also a little tourist train and bouncy castles for entertainment

Ecomusée de La Grande Lande

This museum is situated in a natural park and gives an insight into how life was in the region over the past centuries. There is a steam train for visitors and a range of activities to practise traditional skills and crafts

Parc Ornithalogique du Teich

Situated in the "bassin d'Arcachon", this area is an indispensable stop for migratory birds travelling between Africa and Greenland. With over 80 species of birds all year and a further 180 migratory species taking refuge, rest and feeding time. There are plenty of observation points to view the birds.
