      Customer suggestions

Take a look at some of the local recommendations for days out and activities our customers have shared with us following their holiday at La Baume.

"Agay had some beautiful beaches which were good for snorkelling. St Raphael was a lovely place to spend an evening and the fireworks we saw at Fréjus port were fairly spectacular (for 'Les Nuits de Feu'). We drove along the coast through Cannes and Nice and on into Monaco which was a great experience, as was the boat trip from Ste Maxime (a lovely place in its own right) to St Tropez. A trip to Lac de St Cassien was well worthwhile too with great activities for all the family."
      I. Marsden, Avon

"Lac de St Cassien, about 30 minutes away by car, is a huge freshwater lake suitable for swimming, pedaloes, canoes, sunbathing and fishing. The St Tropez boat tour organised via Keycamp was a great afternoon/evening out and Cannes and Nice were great for people watching."
      G. Oxnard, West Midlands

"Monaco was beautiful and just an hour's drive from the parc. We also visited a town called Ste Maxime which had some wonderful restaurants and our favourite beach was at Port Grimaud which was very safe for the children. Cannes was great and the beach was nice, although not that big. We travelled the motorways to get along the coast to avoid the traffic on the coastal roads. We had the most fantastic holiday."
      K. Woollvin, Essex

"Fayence is a pretty town in the mountains and Lac de St Cassien is a picturesque spot with pedaloes and water activities."
      M. Milton, Lanarkshire

"We spent a day in Monaco, walked the race track and visited the palace, shops and harbour. Such a pretty place although a little pricey. Loved our day out at Aquasplash in Antibes, a fab aquapark, especially for younger ones as there's an area totally devoted to them. Would recommend 2 day ticket and visit Marineland next door on another day to save money. We took an evening trip to Cannes and ate at the Grand Café on the front, great food and very reasonable. St Raphael beach and the evening market were also good, the market offering lots of great stalls."
      A. Aitken, Lanarkshire

"Would recommend Monaco, Cannes and St Tropez for the people watching, glitz and glamour! Agay has a nice sheltered beach with good parking. Géant Casino in Fréjus was the best supermarket."
      M. Wallace, Cheshire

"We visited St Tropez, although got stuck in traffic on the coast road. We also drove to Cannes, it was an amazing journey with spectacular views not to be missed and only took 1.5 hours. We took the train to Monaco - another trip not to be missed."
      A. Denham, West Midlands

"Having been to this place for 30 years we know it inside out and would recommend travel to St Tropez by boat from St Raphael as the roads are crowded during summer months. La Ponche is a lovely restaurant in St Tropez and we also love La Moule Joyeuse on Fréjus plage, it's fantastic value for money. St Paul de Vence is a lovely walled town just outside Nice and has tiny streets and art galleries. Also worth a visit is old Cagnes with its castle and terrific views over the countryside."
      S. Ogden, Essex
