Customer Suggestions

Take a look at some of the local recommendations for days out and activities our customers have shared with us following their holiday at Les Menhirs.

"Auray was very beautiful and has some nice places to eat. St Pierre Quiberon has a lovely small bay and is very peaceful. Vannes is nice even on a rainy day and we also liked Carnac Plage. The kids loved the Igloo Ice Cream Parlour!"
M. Lidstone, Kingsbridge

"The local market on a Wednesday and Sunday is good and the cycle paths are excellent for families."
A. Simmons, Avon

"The beaches at St Pierre Quiberon are lovely and Branféré animal park is brilliant. The Resistance Museum near Malestroit is very good and Parc Prehistoire is just not to be missed, we love it. Carnac Plage town is really lovely to walk to in the day and evening and is quite lively. The italian restaurant just up the road from the parc is very good. Auray and the town across the river inlet are lovely places to visit and there are great restaurants on the quayside opposite the château walls."
C. Deans, Berkshire

"Auray was picturesque and interesting but be prepared for steep cobbled streets. Carnac town was bustling and its market was great for food, sandals, crafts etc. Well worth a visit."
R. Abbott, Hertfordshire

"Vannes was beautiful and even in the rain with an 18 month old and 6 year old was still well worth the trip! We had a great time at La Trinitaine biscuit factory with amazing biscuits, cakes and ice creams, a good trip for wet days. We also hired tourist bikes in the village which was brilliant and they had seats for my 18 month old allowing us to enjoy our cycle round, really nice."
K. Cripps, Avon

"We saw Vannes Medieval Historique Festival with music, dancing, fireworks and loads of people in costume which was great, as well as Carnac Bastille Day festival and fireworks on the beach. We also enjoyed the walk at Erdeven."
G. Perry, East Lothian

"The whole area is beautiful, with quiet beaches and fantastic markets in Trinité-sur-Mer. Vannes is worth a trip and Auray is lovely too. Would love to return to this area."
J. Young, North Yorkshire

"Vannes was very nice and Concarneau was a lovely town. The Zoo at Pont Scorff was a good day out and would recommend taking a picnic to save money."
M. Harry, Cornwall

"There are lots of small seaside towns and villages dotted around Carnac within very short driving distances. A boat trip is available from Quiberon, touring the islands and is well worth a trip."
C. Coyne, Dublin
