Overview

A large, lively campsite set in a sandy pine wood glade with plenty of on-site facilities and one and a half miles from the beach.

Palmyre Loisirs is very popular with families who enjoy evening entertainment organised on-site. At the centre of the campsite is a bar with a large open-air amphitheatre and a stage where lively evening entertainment is held. The recently developed, tropical-style swimming pool complex, with waterslide, lies in a sunny clearing on the edge of the campsite away from our accommodation. There is a fitness track in the woods. This site is one and a half miles from the resort of La Palmyre with its long sandy beach.

Around and About

Royan is a lively resort with a promenade lined with cafés and shops. From here you can take a ferry to the vineyards of the Médoc peninsula. For a longer day out, travel south to the vineyards of Bordeaux to taste some of the finest wines in France. The children will enjoy a visit to the Aquarium at La Rochelle.
