Overview

Set amidst the rugged splendour of the North York Moors, Spiers House combines a forest location with easy access to some of the world’s finest moorland.

This popular family site nestles in a spacious, grassy clearing inside Cropton Forest itself, making it ideal for forest walks as well as for discovering the wider beauties of the North Yorkshire Moors. You can join the Spiers House Forest Ranger on forest and moorland walks from as little as a mile, right up to more than 10 miles; while if you prefer to go your own way, there are plenty of paths to explore on foot and bicycle, and stunning views to stumble upon.

Around and About

Historic York is within a short drive, as are the old-fashioned seaside resort of Scarborough and the fishing port of Whitby. Train lovers will enjoy the scenic delights of the North York Moors Railway that sets out from Pickering, and every Harry Potter fan will be amazed to see the station at Goathland.
