Overview

Nestled in the Basque country, this campsite is ideally located for the surfing beaches of the south west.

Situated beside a small lake, this family-run campsite is four miles from the elegant town of Biarritz. The soaring Pyrénées form a magnificent backdrop to the campsite, which has terraced hillside pitches set amongst oak trees. There is a waterpark with four-lane waterslide, as well as a covered pool across the road in a newer part of the campsite. However, if relaxation is more your style, don’t forget the Balneo, where you can enjoy a massage in the outdoor spa or relax in the jacuzzi complex which is free in low season and available for a small charge during July and August. Traffic and trains can be heard from the site. Three miles away are beaches lapped by Atlantic shores, renowned for excellent surfing.

Around and About

There are many glorious sandy beaches close by, including those at nearby Biarritz. Sophisticated Biarritz retains its dignified Edwardian elegance. Just ten miles from the Spanish border, visit St-Jean-de-Luz, a charming fishing port in an attractive setting. Throughout the summer the streets come alive with folk festivals. At La Rhune, you can take a funicular train ride into the Pyrénées.
