Overview

A well-maintained campsite with a spacious play area, just a short walk from a superb sandy beach.

La Tranche-sur-Mer is renowned for its wonderful south facing beaches, and the most popular is within walking distance of the site. Camping Du Jard has flat, grassy pitches and modern facilities housed in attractive Vendéen-style buildings, including a swimming pool complex with covered pool. You can relax in the sauna or enjoy a drink on the bar terrace. Rules are strictly enforced for the benefit of all customers and no shorts are allowed in the swimming pool.

Around and About

La Tranche-sur-Mer is just three miles from the campsite, where the beach is exceptional and there is also a lot of history to discover. The ruins of Talmont Castle are sixteen miles away. Here you can climb to the top for spectacular views. The zoo at Les Sables d’Olonne, a forty-five minute drive, is also worth a visit. Further afield is La Rochelle with its fortified harbour and wide boulevards.
