Overview

A lakeside campsite by the Compiègne Forest. Ideal as a holiday destination, for a short break to Disneyland® Resort Paris, or as an stop over en-route to the south of France.

Set beside a meandering river and within walking distance of Vic-sur-Aisne, the attractively landscaped parkland has tall poplar trees and weeping willows. The old stone farm buildings which house the restaurant and bar have been tastefully converted and the terrace overlooks the swimming pool, which now features indoor waterslides and covered pool. In addition you can hire pedalos and canoes on the small campsite lake, two new lakes are available, one for swimming, the other for fishing. The site remains extremely popular amongst anglers. If you’re in need of some real pampering, don’t forget to book yourself into the fantastic on-site spa and beauty therapy centre. The site has also added a new ‘pub’ complex with underground disco for teenagers.

Around and About

Walking, cycling and pony trekking in the nearby forest are popular family outings. Compiègne, the Royal Palace of Louis XIV is well worth a visit. Disneyland® Resort Paris and the centre of Paris are just over an hour and a half drive. The huge 12th century fairy tale castle dominates the village of Pierrefonds, thirteen and a half miles away.
