Parc Bagatelle
There are more than 40 attractions at this leisure park. A good selection of roller coasters, water rides and play areas. Selection of restaurants and take aways.
Open everyday in July and August (Fri and Sat until 21:30). Open weekends only in September. Advisable to phone April-June as opening days differ. Parking €3.50.
Aqualud Waterpark
Waterpark with indoor and outdoor heated pools. A good selection of waterslides and chutes. Separate area for children. Shop, cafe and restaurant. Evening shows and spectacles.
Children smaller than 1m free. Half day tariffs available. Closes Mondays and other odd days in low season. Advisable to phone first.
The Picardy Museum
Housed in a 19th century mansion, the museum features archaeological artefacts, medieval memorabilia, 19th century bronze and marble sculptures, and a series of rare 16th century paintings.
Steam Railway and Museum
The "Petit Train de la Haute Somme" is the last remaining section of a large military network built during WWI. The section from Froissy-Cappy has been restored by enthusiasts. A small station has been built in the hamlet of Froissy. The train journey takes you accross the countryside of Picardy through tunnels and over hill tops. There is a small museum exhibiting steam trains and memorabilia.
Musée Somme 1916
The museum of the shelters/somme 1916 can be found in the underground shelters. 62 steps take you 10 metres down into a gallery 250 metres long. Over 15 displays, realistically show the life of the French, British and German soldiers during World War I. The gift shop has a number of military souvenirs.

Château de Rambures
A 15th century château which is now classed as a historical monument. The château has a moat (without water), a drawbridge, towers and turrets. There is a display of methods of torture from the Middle Ages.
Samara - Prehistoric Park and Gardens
Samara is a 30 hectare site which has prehistoric demonstrations and activities. The gardens have life size prehistoric reconstructions. Demonstrations given include flint making, pottery, weaving, wickerwork, mosaic work, stone and wood carving.
Maison de l'Oiseau
An opportunity to see rare and exotic birds plus birds of prey in flight. The guided visit provides an explanation of how rare or endangered the species are.
Parc Ornithologique de Marquenterre
A superb ornithological parc set in 250 hectares of lakes and natural habitat. Over 300 different species of birds and 24 species of mammals can be observed (depending on season and migratory habits).
Nausicaa
Europe's largest aquarium. 400 fish to look at and touch in the various aquariums. There is also a seal pool. Audio guide for hire.
Abbaye de Valloires
Founded in 12th Century and rebuilt in 18th Century. Cistercian Architecture contrasts with exuberant Baroque interior. A unique collection of 4000 varieties of rare plants (8 hectares). Shop, garden shop, restaurant, tea room. 5000m2 water garden.
