A 19th century creation, La Baule once rivalled Biarritz with its glamorous villas and its fashionable hotels. Tradition is still very important around here – the lively health resort of La Baule has a reputation for recharging even the weariest of traveller. Maybe it's the crisp Atlantic light. Maybe it's the fresh sea air. Or maybe it's the elegantly designed residences, just yards from a sheltered beach? For well over a hundred years, La Baule has been welcoming those in search of fun, relaxation and simple, seaside pleasures. With its 9km beach, its famous casino and elegant promenade, the same can be said today. But times change, even in La Baule, and now the resort is home to this stylish Pierre & Vacances residence with its white, four storeyed buildings clustered around a decent sized pool. Backed by pine trees in the appropriately named 'Les Pins' district, it is wonderfully private, yet just a few hundred metres from that glorious beach.
