Holidays in Denmark

Overview

The birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen and the home of Copenhagen - one of Europe’s oldest capitals and Scandinavia’s most vibrant cities - Denmark is also a country of picturesque forests, charming villages and sandy beaches.

In fact, along Denmark’s North Sea coast, you’ll find miles of lovely beaches that are ideal for sand castle making, beach games, sports, horse riding and more.

For Keycamp customers, however, there are likely to be some even more exciting reasons for holidaying in Denmark. That’s because our high quality accommodation is at Lalandia Billund, Scandinavia’s largest waterpark, and close to LEGOLAND® Billund Resort!

Places to visit

Lalandia Aquadome

For waterpark fun that’s out of this world, it has to be Lalandia! In a massive 10,000m² Aquadome, where the water temperature is a wonderful 28°C and the air temperature is a welcoming 30°C, you’ll find an incredible choice of activities. These include a Wave Pool with bathing rings, a Blue Cave, where you can swim right up to tropical fish, plus an Activity Pool where you can try to walk on water.

There are water cannons and slides (you’ve just got to try the ‘Tornado’ and the ‘Octopus Racers’). Plus watch out for the huge bucket that regularly tips 1,000 litres of water over the play area!  The ‘Lazy River’ is simply perfect for a relaxing meander on inflatable rings. Plus there are children’s pools, saunas and a huge outdoor spa. Add restaurants and grills, cafés and bars, shops, outdoor activities, bowling, mini golf, a fitness centre and more… and this is the waterpark for kids of all ages!

LEGOLAND®

Lego is one of those timeless toys that has always stayed right up to date. LEGOLAND® is Denmark’s leading park for families. There’s exciting entertainment for all the family, with more than 50 activities, shows and attractions to enjoy.

Places to visit

Givskud Zoo

From letting your little monkeys run wild in the huge play area, to exploring the animal-rich Savannah or driving through the lions’ enclosure, this fun and exciting animal world brings you up close to the world of the wild. There are over 80 different species from four continents, many of which you can observe at close range in their natural surroundings. Plus the zoo has lots of carefully landscaped areas that are ideal for a picnic.

Places to visit

Koldinghus

Once one of Denmark’s most important royal castles, Koldinghus burnt down in the 19th Century and for years was little more than a romantic ruin. Now restored to its former 13th Century splendour, this world-class attraction also has a fascinating museum and hosts international exhibitions.
