Fun Swimming for 1-5 years

Mini Fun Station - learn to swim logo

We've teamed up with the Swimming Teachers' Association (STA) to help your little ones become real little water babies and take their first strokes towards learning how to swim. From 1 to 5 years old, your child can be safely introduced to the water.

The Learn to Swim programme is designed by the STA, and all our swimming teachers have been trained according to the UK National Standard. Plus, they all hold the NaRS SAT pool resue award. The swimming programme is split into two sessions per day, which will usually take place in the morning. Lessons are split into two age groups:

  • Starfish for toddlers aged 1-2 years
  • Stanley for ages 2-5 years

Both lessons are held at the parc swimming pool each morning, except on Tuesdays, and each last 30 minutes. Lesson times are based around pool availability and may vary between parcs. All our little swimmers will be given a sticker each time they attend a session, and at the end of the course, they'll be awarded a certificate and a cloth badge.

Please note each child must be accompanied by a parent/carer who will take responsibility for the safe supervision of their child at all times.

Although all pools we us are heated, pool temperature may vary from session to session, particularly on parcs where we use outdoor pools. Our Learn to Swim Teachers will test the pool temperature prior to every session and reserve the right to shorten the session should the temperature be lower than necessary. We advise that younger children wear a wetsuit as pool temperature may vary. We have a limited supply of wetsuits for children aged 12-24 months to borrow. We normally accept a maximum of 8 children and 8 adults per session; however this can be lowered accordingly without prior warning.

Learn to Swim is available on 11 selected Mini Fun Station Parcs, and opening dates vary from 29th April 2013 onwards. Please see your selected parc page for the exact service dates.
