Making your money go further

Book with Keycamp and you'll be sure of getting the holiday you want. We're all about freedom and flexibility and we know affordability is a key factor too. We offer a range of accommodation, parcs and travel options so there's certain to be something to suit your budget, even if you're thinking of spending less this year.

Plus, we're a helpful bunch at Keycamp too, so we thought we'd give you some handy hints and tips to make your holiday money go further...

Pre-Holiday

plane

Travel mid-week - this allows you to take advantage of cheaper flights or ferries

mobile home

Reduce the length of your holiday by a couple of nights or consider staying in smaller accommodation - this reduces the cost of your holiday, while still ensuring you have time away

waterchute

Travel in low season - if you can travel in the first few weeks of July before schools break up, or in September after kids have returned to school, then you'll benefit from cheaper prices

car

Self drive - pack up your car and take the ferry to the continent. It proves less expensive than flights with car hire and there are no restrictions on how much luggage you can take with you.

This means that you'll have space to pop in a few items of your children's favourite food too, such as baked beans or tomato ketchup!

two couples outside

Go on holiday with friends or family - this way you can split the cost of your accommodation and travel, plus all sorts of other expenses while you're on holiday.

Our three bedroom mobile homes are the perfect size for two families or couples who fancy sharing accommodation.

Extra adults and grandparents can even stay free on selected dates*

ferry

Book your ferry crossing and theme park tickets direct with Keycamp - you'll benefit from our cheaper rates

beach

Book annual travel insurance - if you're thinking of doing more than one holiday this year even if its just one or two short breaks, it works out better value

family walking on the beach

Pay for your holiday by debit card - you're still covered by ATOL and ABTA when you book with Keycamp so you don't necessarily need the protection a credit card gives you, which means you save on the credit card handling charge

couple at outside table

Pre order your currency; don't buy it at the airport - the rates are likely to be much higher otherwise

family walking

If you've got a Nationwide credit card - take it with you as it's interest free for European spending**

On Holiday

child and courier

Take advantage of our free activities and facilities on-parc - we offer kids' clubs from toddlers through to teens, Tumble Tots and Gymbabes sessions, Waterbabies swimming lessons, fabulous pool complexes and more on selected parcs, all FREE!

Plus, we offer free cot, highchair, baby bath and potty hire if you are holidaying with little ones.

children carrying bread

Use a large supermarket to buy your essentials - try to do a one-off 'big shop' at the start of your holiday. Buying food and drink in larger quantities will be cheaper than visiting the local shop each day.

Plus you can buy boxes of ice lollies to save you paying the snack bar prices each time your kids (or you!) fancy a treat.

market stall

Visit the town and village markets to buy your local specialties - it can be cheaper than the supermarkets and quite often you can usually have a taste before you buy.

Plus it's a great way to experience the local culture, meet new people and put your foreign language skills to the test!

mobile home dining table

Our fantastic self catering accommodation - is perfect for preparing and eating meals, as an alternative to going out to a restaurant or using a snack bar.

Plus the majority of our parcs even offer free barbecues for that ultimate alfresco experience

boat

Cut down on the use of your car while on holiday and use a bike instead - it saves petrol and helps you discover the local area from a different perspective.

Most parcs offer bike hire, or if you're travelling via ferry strap your own bikes to your car and take them on holiday with you

picnic

Make a picnic or packed lunch if you're going on a day trip - its much cheaper than eating in a restaurant and you'll probably find some great little hideaways to relax and have your lunch, that you might never have never chanced upon otherwise

restaurant

Try local drinks in restaurants and bars rather than imported brands - they'll hit the spot just as well!

street

Eat in restaurants that are not located on the main street - they tend to be cheaper and more authentic

seafood

Make lunch your big meal of the day - restaurants are likely to charge less for lunch than they do dinner even though the meal is the same.

It's also probably easier getting a great table at lunch too

campsite

Use your mobile phone as little as possible - you pay to receive calls as well as make them (even if someone leaves a voicemail).

Alternatively, purchase a local Sim card or use a phonecard when calling home
